UEFA highlighted the role of French President Emmanuel Macron in the negotiation process to move the final to the capital of that country.
In addition, during the meeting it was decided that the Russian and Ukrainian clubs and national teams playing in European competitions will hold home matches on neutral ground. This provision introduced for an indefinite period.
It should be noted that only Spartak Moscow remains among the Russian clubs in this season’s European competitions. Red-Whites face Leipzig in the Europa League 1/8 finals.
