Parma goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has signed a new deal with the club.
This was announced by club president Kyle Krause during a press conference at the Ennio Tardini Stadium. The 44-year-old Italian extended his current contract until 2024, reports Parma’s official website. The legendary goalkeeper will be 46 years old when the new contract expires.
Buffon returned to Parma last summer, signing a two-season deal. He conceded 23 goals in 23 Serie B games.
Parma was the first club in Buffon’s professional career. He began to play for this team at the age of 17 and spent there six seasons.
Under the veteran goalkeeper’s belt, there are a total of 952 matches at club level. In addition, he played 176 meetings for the Italian national team.
